Director Janusz Konieczny and Brewer Dominik Szczodry guided us through the ancient walls dating back to 1846, and both agreed in their statement: \u201cWe are not working in a brewery, but in a brewery museum!\u201d And during the tour around the premises, we could confirm that this was true.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.brunnenbraeu.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Bracki-Browar-Zamkowy-w-Cieszynie-Mini-1.jpg\" alt=\"Bracki Browar Zamkowy w Cieszynie, Cieszyn, Bier in Polen, Bier vor Ort, Bierreisen, Craft Beer, Brauerei\" class=\"wp-image-25588\" width=\"847\" height=\"516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.brunnenbraeu.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Bracki-Browar-Zamkowy-w-Cieszynie-Mini-1.jpg 709w, https:\/\/blog.brunnenbraeu.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Bracki-Browar-Zamkowy-w-Cieszynie-Mini-1-150x91.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.brunnenbraeu.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Bracki-Browar-Zamkowy-w-Cieszynie-Mini-1-300x183.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 847px) 100vw, 847px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:12px\"><strong>the outlets of the ancient lautering tun<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.browarcieszyn.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\">Castle Brewery<\/a> in Cieszyn belongs to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.brunnenbraeu.eu\/?p=11328\" target=\"_blank\">\u017bywiec Brewery<\/a>, one of the largest brewing companies in Poland, which \u2013 in turn \u2013 is owned by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heineken.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Heineken<\/a>. It has specialized on brewing mainly two beers: The regional specialty \u201cBrackie\u201d, a light brown and tasty, non-pasteurized lager with a distinct metallic taste, and the \u201c\u017bywiec Porter\u201d, a pitch-black specialty with 9.5% alcohol \u2013 a beer that is a very typical representative of the old \u201cBaltic Porter\u201d style. Both varieties are brewed in almost century-old brewing kettles and fermented in open vessels. When it is ready to be bottled, it has already had a 120 days lager period \u2013 an unusual long time, especially taking into account the fact that the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.browarcieszyn.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bracki Brewery<\/a> is under strict control of the parent company in \u017bywiec. After this fermentation period, the beer is transported in large lorries to the mother company in \u017bywiec some 50 km away, where it is filled into bottles and cans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the time of our visit, we had the chance to taste the beers unfiltered, directly poured from the fermentation tank.
