Upon entering the restaurant, you will immediately see the polished to a mirror 2.5 hl copper brewing vessels, produced by Kaspar Schulz Company from Bamberg. Since 2008, on this installation the young brewer, Michał Sobociński, produces a broad range of interesting beers. And obviously, he does it in excellent quality – right next to the copper kettles, you can find the certificate from the 2009 craft beer contest in Żywiec, in which the Tumski brewery won the third place in the Wheat Beer category.

polished copper vessels

We found a comfortable place on the terrace and could enjoy the warm spring sun. Four different beers were noted in the menu, and I asked the young, somewhat uncertain, but very friendly waiter, whether it would be possible to taste the beers without having to order large quantities of each. Sure, no problem, and after a second I got four shot glasses standing in front of me, each containing a different beer: A Wheatbeer / Hefeweizen (a slight yeasty bitterness, but full of character, with strong hints of cumin), a Honey-Wheat (sweet and heavy), a Caramel / Karmelowe (tasting rather like a root beer than a real caramel beer) and a Stout (black, bitter, but not as roasty as the dark colour initially promised).

a quick tasting flight

I carefully tasted the beers and finally decided for a large glass of stout for lunch.
