Und Schluss?
Kein ausführlicher Bericht, keine spannende Story, keine tollen Erlebnisse.
Was einige Jahre lang das angeblich beste Biergeschäft Kopenhagens war, ist nun nur noch ein leerstehendes Ladenlokal: Ølbutikken.
Weit mehr als zehn Jahre lang bot die Ølbutikken im Herzen von Vesterbro hervorragende Biere, gute Beratung und angemessene Preise. Sie hat einen Eignerwechsel vor rund vier Jahren erlebt, und als der neue Eigner, Morten, sich Anfang 2017 dazu entschloss, mit seiner Familie nach Bornholm überzusiedeln und dort ein neues Bierprojekt zu starten, war er noch optimistisch, dass sich rasch jemand aus der Kopenhagener Bierszene finden würde, der Ølbutikken weiter führen würde:
„Kind Sir’s, gentle ladies, I hope, when these lines reach you, they may find you in the best of health. – As most of you know, a beer journey is seldom a straight line and my journey is about to shift direction. Slightly bored with the big city (village that is Copenhagen) life, my family is moving to the small island of Bornholm for new adventures. – Leaving Ølbutikken behind has not been an easy decision – mostly because of all of you. It has been an amazing 3,5 years where I like to think I have made some absolutely fantastic new friends from around the world. Oh and had a great beer or 4. – In a little while, I hope to welcome you all to Bornholm where I promise I will find a good place to sell, drink and talk beer. In some form or other. – But for now, there will be one last day at Ølbutikken tomorrow, with beer on tap and a deal on some beers. Come say hi – or goodbye – and share a few. – Morten – P.S. Bis heute, zum 4. September 2017, hat sich diese Hoffnung leider nicht erfüllt, und der Laden steht (nun wohl endgültig?) leer. Lediglich der weiße Zettel, der an der Tür klebt, strahlt unverbesserlichen Optimismus aus: „Closed for Refurbishment. See you all soon!“
